Katherine Baker was born in New England. She spent her formative years in Japan and Hong Kong, and graduated from High School in England. Katherine was a viola student at the Royal Academy of Music’s Junior Academy in London, and performed with the youth symphony orchestra. She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics, from Southern New Hampshire University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and obtained her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Drexel University. She is also a Certified Correctional Health Professional. Katherine has a range of direct patient-care experience in the Long Term Care, Emergency Room, Correctional, and now Outpatient, settings. She enjoys spending time taking care of the animals on her family farm and composing music.
Dr. LaPlante completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and a separate Bachelor of Science in psychology. He was a member of Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology. He went to medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine.
After completing medical school he moved to Miami, Florida where he completed his residency in general psychiatry in addition to completing a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry where he also served as chief fellow. He enjoys teaching and has been a faculty member for Albany Medical College and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
Sarah Stout is an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has served as an outpatient psychiatric provider in many settings. Driven by a passion to help those with mental illness across the lifespan, she takes pride in having an open minded and wholistic approach to care. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner her goals include optimizing medication management and therapeutic approaches for the best functioning.
Over the past 10 years, Sarah has been a noteworthy leader in the community mental health setting. She has worked in the inpatient setting among adults and children at Holyoke Medical Center and Providence Behavioral, as well as outpatient and crisis or urgent care settings though Behavioral Health Network in Massachusetts. She has also worked in Brattleboro, VT in the outpatient private sector over the past year. She holds her Doctorate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and focused her thesis on collaboration of Mental Health providers and Primary Care. She has also served on the American Psychiatric Nurses Association in many capacities, including working on the issues of seclusions and restraints.
In addition to working in an outpatient setting, Sarah has three boys that keep her busy in her time off. She enjoys practicing mindfulness, is an avid runner, and relaxes with practice of yoga.
